Nossob camp,
in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park

Situated A 3,5 hrs drive from the Twee Rivieren entrance gate, Nossob camp is to be found on the Botswana border in the North of the Park.

Nestling in the dry riverbed of the Nossob it is surrounded by large Camel-Thorn trees and a semi-desert African savannah landscape. Together with its unique tranquillity and ambience, the camp is famous for its stunning game viewing.

Nossob rest camp has a reception and information centre, a small shop selling basic commodities that youwould find in your local supermarket (including fresh meat, milk, cheese, eggs, bread, wine and beer), a swimming pool and a petrol station that sells diesel and leaded or unleaded fuel.

You can pay in South African rands, Botswana pulas or Namibia dollars. Credit cards are not accepted and there are no ATMs, so make sure that you bring enough cash.

Also, there is no mobile telephone reception at the camp and electricity is provided by a generator 18 hrs per day.

Another nice thing about Nossob besides the pool, is that it has a game viewing hide. From this hide you can view a floodlit waterhole that lies approximately 100m from the camp. At night this waterhole is lituntil 22:00pm. Predators like cheetahs, lions, spotted hyena's are often seen there.

If you're staying at the Nossob camp make sure that you visit “Marie se draai” waterhole in the morning and in theevening. This little loop road is without doubt one of the most productive game viewing roads in the parkand it is also a very good road for spotting bat-eared foxes.
