The camp offers quite a variety of facilities, including a reception and information centre where video and slide shows are provided, a shop selling food and souvenirs, a petrol station offering either leaded, unleaded or diesel fuel, a restaurant with a respectable menu and reasonable prices, and a swimming pool.
It is the only camp in the Kgalagadi with mobile telephone reception and 24hrs electricity. Unlike the swimming pools at some of the other camps, the one at this main camp offers a lot of shady areas and it's a joy to relax there in between game drivers during the hot summer days.

This camp is also the only one in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park where you can pay with a credit card. All the other camps only accept cash, so make sure that you bring enough money to the Kgalagadi to pay for petrol, food and drinks.
There is an ATM in the shop at the camp, but you should still bring money to the Kgalagadi rather than betting on the ATM, because if it doesn't work, then the closest ATM to the park is 260km away in Upington. As main camp and entrance to the Park, it has a landing strip for light aircraft as well as a car-hire service.
